The Difference

What is the difference between a businessman and an entrepreneur?
I’ll reveal the answer at the end of this post.
This question was brought up by the workshop speaker on Learning Styles that was conducted last Wednesday on my return to Cedar Girls’, after a three week absence.
The topic of Learning Styles and how everyone has a [...]

Swing

As he lay broken and weeping upon the dank, damp ground, his thoughts were brought to a scene strangely familiar.
The child broke into a smile of perfect glee.
Whee!
Then came the downward rush and he tensed his little body, preparing to strain upward with all his might. He thought maybe he could reach higher than before. [...]

The Man Who Smelled

The bus reeked.
As I made my way to the back of the bus, the unbearable stench assaulted my senses and my eyes darted around, searching frantically for the cause.
It was a man.

Let’s hope I don’t foul up the filter system too much.
On a [...]

Movies and Levis

i’ve just got back from catching Mr and Mrs Smith at my favourite cinema.
it was a pretty good movie and i quite enjoyed it. the actions scenes were pretty cool, if not entirely original, save perhaps the last scene. i think Doug Liman, the director, was channelling John Woo but i don’t think i’ve ever [...]

i feel an itch in my throat.
Must be coming down with an infernal sore throat and/or flu.
i really, really detest sore throats. i don’t mind fevers so much but sore throats! They’re just so irritating the way they foul up one of the most sensitive areas of the human body. i can’t swallow, speak, breathe, [...]

This year’s camp was significantly different from the previous camps. Most of the old VCF executive committee (Exco) members were not around and not all from the new committee were present as well. Couple that with the East Asia Regional Conference the week before, and the resulting lack of time for the various ministries to [...]
