i would like to welcome a new sister to the kingdom of God.
Because that’s what happened on Sunday, the moment she gave her life to the Saviour of the world, Jesus Christ – she became a full-fledged member of the kingdom of God.
And even more so, take a look at what Scripture says:
“And [the people of God] shall be called The Holy People,
The Redeemed of the LORD;
And [the people of God] shall be called Sought Out,
A City Not Forsaken.”
That’s from Isaiah 62:12.
How about 1 Peter 2:9-10?
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
i especially like the phrase used by the Apostle Paul in Galatians 6:10 – “household of faith”.
Yes, she is now part of the household of faith, or family of believers – the family who has the privilege of calling the God of the universe (his name is Yahweh!) – Abba, Father.
Wow.
i’m wowed that we can call Him, Father.
i’m wowed by the fact that i have a new sister in Christ.
Oh Father, may i never fail to be wowed by your grace and mercy!
Thank you, Lord Jesus, because it is your Cross that makes it all possible.
May i never fail to be wowed by your saving work in we who are fallen.
Wow.
Yeah, and welcome again, beverlily.
Welcome indeed.
