So i’m writing this in the departure lounge of Terminal 1 and there’s one more hour before my flight departs for London.
It’ll be my second trip there.
My last trip to London took place in 1999, while i was still horribly quagmired in the bogs of National Service.
So this trip will be different. Simply because i go as a free man (well, relatively anyway…) and i’m seven years older.
i fancy myself traipsing about London, imagining myself as a Wodehousian hero and getting into all sorts of shenanigans and adventures.
We’ll see.
At the very least, i’ll sign up for a tour of Ashburton Grove and maybe catch an EPL match or two (Yes! Yes! Yes!).
Hopefully, there’ll be a free wireless hotspot or two in Ye Olde Englande. If there are, you’ll be hearing from me direct from London. If not, you’ll have to wait. Or just not care actually.
So i’m off!
Be back on Christmas!
oh london!
i went there when i was a very little girl,about four,perhaps.
i don’t remember anything of that holiday, except that it was very cold.
be careful for yourself, sir.(though why i’m saying this for you i’m not sure,as i find you extremely strong.)
there are little adventures to be found in london, they do happen,so enjoy yourself.
may the force be with you,and god bless you.
